Yesterday was Legos day. The students made something and then others had to guess what it was. In these pictures, there was a beach, King Kong and a skyscraper, a house, Richard Petty (the King), a YouTube person, and a race car. Can you guess which is which? Source

Yesterday was play-doh challenge. The teachers would describe a body part (big head, small legs, squinty eyes, etc.) and the students had to design their play-doh creatures based on that. Then they were given some free time to make whatever they wanted. Source

Yesterday was Lego Challenge Day. The students were shown a picture for only 5 seconds. Then they had to make that item out of Legos, and they had a time limit on each item (5-10 minutes depending on difficulty level). Source

Yesterday, we learned about electrons and protons, lightning and thunder, the 5-second rule about storms, and about static electricity. Then we all got the chance to touch the Van der Graaf generator that has a build up of static electricity/electrons. For some students, Mr. Ross, and Mrs. Alisha, it was a hair raising experience!
