Who knew you could make snow out of baking soda and conditioner? Ms. Patty did! Yes, that is right we made snow Monday during the enrichment program. It was gooey! It was messy! AND, it was AWESOME! Source

Did you know that sewing is one of the top 30 skills needed for survival? Ms. Linda began a series on February 7th that will combine Life Skills (Survival), Codes, and Quilting…have I piqued your interest? The students were very engaged and cannot wait to see what she brings next. Source

The enrichment program created its own charter last fall. Ms. A revisited the charter, asked students what they liked about the charter, where they felt they were doing well, and what they would like to change. Our students are so AMAZING! They are thoughtful, kind, caring, and their answers were wonderful! The new charter is AWESOME! Source

February has been an exciting time for the enrichment program. Ms. Patty kicked the month off with information about “Snowflake Bentley”…comes to find out there are two snowflakes alike. Source

Jamie Lawson, Unicoi County Health Department, holds Run Club each Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. Everyone’s weekly goal is to run (or walk) at least one mile each week with a long term goal of running the 5k Fun Run at the end of the school year. Parents are welcome and encouraged to participate with their children. Source

At the end of the day a favorite activity of the students is Magna Tiles…they are only limited by their imagination. Source

In December we held a family event where parents could come and participate with their child(ren) to complete various activities. There was mazes, games, coloring, Christmas Cootie Catchers, Candy Cane Reindeer, and Snowmen Luminaries. The students really enjoyed having fun with their parents. Source
